NEET UG 2019 – National Testing Agency (NTA) conducted the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) exam in offline mode on May 5, 2019, in 147 exam cities of India.NEET 2019 was conducted in pen-and-paper mode on May 5 (2-5 pm), except in Odisha centres, across 147 cities.

In the recent notification, NTA has announced that NEET 2019 exam for Odisha aspirants will now be conducted on May 20, 2019, from 10:00 AM to 01:00 PM. Further, taking cognizance of grievances filed candidates, a few candidates from Karnataka and Siliguri have also been allowed to appear in the NEET exam that will be conducted on May 20. NEET admit cards for such candidates will be available soon on this page. NTA has announced changes in NEET exam centres located in Delhi and Maharashtra. NEET admit card was released on April 15, 2019. The undergraduate medical entrance exam is held for admission to around 93,919 MBBS and BDS seats offered by the government, private, central and deemed universities across India. This year, around 15.19 lakh registrations have been received by the regulatory body to take the pen and paper test. The question paper contains 180 multiple choice questions based on Physics, Chemistry and Biology section. NEET 2019 test takers are required to follow the exam day guidelines and dress code which has been specified by NTA. After the conclusion of the exam, the leading coaching centres will release the answer key, which can be used by aspirants to calculate their expected scores. It must be noted that as per the NEET 2019 exam pattern, four marks will be allotted for every correct answer, while one mark will be deducted for a wrong attempt. NEET 2019 official answer key will be released in the last week of May along with the OMR sheet. The result of NEET 2019 will be announced by June 5, in online mode, along with the cutoff marks. Candidates securing the minimum qualifying percentile will be considered eligible to participate for counselling process under 15% All India Quota and 85% State Quota seats.

NEET Result 2019

NTA will declare the NEET 2019 result by June 5, 2019, in online mode. NEET result can be downloaded by candidates after logging in with their login ID/application number and password. Candidates can check the total and subject-wise marks obtained in NEET UG. The scorecard will mention the NEET All India Rank. It will also mention the All India Quota Rank for 15% seats (overall and category rank).

NEET Counselling 2019

NEET 2019 counselling for the All India Quota, ESIC quota, and seats in Central and Deemed Universities will be conducted by Director General of Health Services (DGHS), on behalf of the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). The counselling for the state quota seats will be conducted by the respective state counselling authorities. The NEET 2019 seat allotment will be based on the candidate’s NEET rank, score, and the choice of colleges made during counselling.

    NEET 2019 Reservation Criteria

    NEET reservation criteria denote the guidelines for students applying for reservations in the 15% All India Quota seats. Candidates will be eligible for admission on reserved seats under AIQ, provided they meet the eligibility requirements as specified in the table given below.

    NEET Counselling 2019
    The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on behalf of Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will start the NEET 2019 counselling most likely in the second week of June 2019. The counselling of NEET 2019 will be held in online mode i.e. candidates will be required to register online with DGHS as and when the registration process of the NEET 2019 counselling starts. This NEET counselling 2019 will be conducted for the 15% of the total seats of all the government colleges (except for colleges of Jammu and Kashmir state) also known as 15% All India Quota seats, all the seats of Central and Deemed Universities, seats reserved for Wards of Insured Persons (IP quota) in Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) medical colleges and seats available at the Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) Pune. The counselling of NEET 2019 for the remaining 85% State Quota seats of government colleges and all the private colleges will be conducted by the respective state authorities. NEET 2019 counselling will be conducted in two rounds for 15% All India Quota seats while for the Central & Deemed Universities and ESIC colleges, the counselling will be conducted in three rounds. The counselling result of NEET 2019 will be released in the form of the seat allotment list and seat allotment letter.

    Note that only those candidates who will secure the minimum qualifying percentile of NEET will be eligible to participate in NEET 2019 counselling. In order to be considered qualified for NEET 2019, candidates will be required to secure a minimum of 50th percentile (45th percentile for General-PwD candidates and 40th percentile for SC/ST/OBC candidates).     NEET State Counselling 2019

    The counselling for 85% State Quota seats and the seats of private colleges will be regulated by the state counselling authorities. Since, the colleges of Jammu and Kashmir do not participate in the centralised counselling, therefore, the counselling for all the seats will be conducted by the state counselling body. The list of NEET qualified candidates will be given to the states. Each state will release its own merit list, schedule and application form. The state will also apply the domicile rules as per their policies.
